Originally an adapted tool from the USA was applied to the Chinese market. However, through testing, it was proven the user flow was not working well.
Issues such as vehicle selection had the user switching back to the starting screens to reselect or add a vehicle to compare. This caused a critical pain point. The user felt unsure of next steps by having the screen go back for a new selection or if they had lost their current selections. The main optimization objective was to keep the selection within the tool.
So I re-developed the component. Swipe to choose a vehicle of interest combined with a drag and drop component to compare.
Main variables for top level comparison started with price and then dug deeper into the specifications.
Through different user flows, it could be contained within one vehicle line or a combination of vehicle lines depending on how the user entered the tool from.
